Andrea Di Cinzio

Andrea Di Cinzio è dottorando del 37° ciclo in Culture del Progetto: Creatività, Patrimonio, Ambiente presso l’Università “G. d’Annunzio” di Chieti-Pescara. I suoi studi si concentrano sulla relazione tra uomo e spazio urbano, con particolare attenzione ai temi della percezione, del benessere e del rapporto tra neuroscienze e architettura.​ È stato Visiting Student presso il New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) a New York per un periodo di ricerca di sei mesi, e Visiting Researcher e Adjunct Professor presso la NUACA University di Yerevan, Armenia, nell’ambito delle attività di scambio docenti del progetto europeo Erasmus+ TACEESM.​ Ha ricevuto la medaglia d’argento alla XV edizione del Premio Italiano di Architettura Sostenibile “Fassa Bortolo” per la tesi magistrale in composizione architettonica e progettazione urbana dal titolo “Belgrado. Un progetto di adattamento come risposta al cambiamento climatico”.​ Dal 2014 al 2017 ha collaborato come student-reporter con “domus_la città dell’uomo” sotto la guida di Nicola Di Battista, documentando eventi internazionali come il Salone del Mobile di Milano e la Biennale di Venezia. Svolge attività di ricerca sul ruolo dello spazio pubblico nella promozione del benessere psicofisico, integrando strumenti della psicologia ambientale e delle neuroscienze. Nell’ambito del PRIN COSTA | Med – UdR Pescara contribuisce all’attività di ricerca che ha per oggetto la predisposizione di un’agenda di indirizzi progettuali strategici per la ricomposizione adattiva tra rischi, valori patrimoniali e contesti socioeconomici dello spazio terra-mare medio adriatico.

Andrea Di Cinzio is a PhD candidate of the 37th cycle in Design Cultures: Creativity, Heritage, Environment at the “G. d’Annunzio” University of Chieti-Pescara. His research focuses on the relationship between humans and urban space, with particular attention to themes of perception, well-being, and the intersection of neuroscience and architecture. He was a Visiting Student at the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) in New York for a six-month research period, and a Visiting Researcher and Adjunct Professor at NUACA University in Yerevan, Armenia, as part of the Erasmus+ TACEESM European teaching exchange program. He was awarded the Silver Medal at the 15th edition of the Italian Sustainable Architecture Prize “Fassa Bortolo” for his master’s thesis in architectural composition and urban design entitled “Belgrade. An adaptation project in response to climate change.” From 2014 to 2017, he collaborated as a student-reporter with domus_la città dell’uomo under the guidance of Nicola Di Battista, covering international events such as the Salone del Mobile in Milan and the Venice Biennale. He conducts research on the role of public space in promoting psychophysical well-being, integrating tools from environmental psychology and neuroscience. He is the author of contributions such as:

Within the framework of the PRIN COSTA | Med – UdR Pescara, she contributes to research activities aimed at developing a strategic design agenda for the adaptive recomposition between risks, heritage values, and socio-economic contexts of the mid-Adriatic land-sea interface.
