Mi piace guardare.
Per questo ho iniziato a fotografare. Per rivedere il mio sguardo dentro un’inquadratura. Nelle mie corde c’è il paesaggio, è un’indagine nascosta, la mia, nelle aree dimenticate, nel vuoto che l’uomo crea e poi abbandona e la natura si riprende. Non ho mai pensato a reportages o grandi servizi esotici. Mi basta la mia città, la sua gente, i suoi spazi. E tutto quello che gli gravita intorno. Ma con le mie foto non cercate di comprendere meglio la realtà, quello che vedete è semplicemente lo stato di chi ha guardato.
Collaboro con La Repubblica e La Stampa. Insegno fotografia al Master di Paesaggio del Dipartimento di Architettura dell’Università di ROMA TRE e in precedenza al Dipartimento di discipline umanistiche, sociali e delle imprese culturali dell’Università di Parma.

I have always been drawn to observing.
That is why I began photographing – to revisit my own gaze within a frame. My work is rooted in landscape photography, which for me is a form of hidden inquiry, an exploration of forgotten spaces, of the voids created and then abandoned by human presence, which nature slowly reclaims. I have never been interested in reportages or grand exotic projects; my focus remains on my own city – its people, its spaces, and everything that gravitates around them. Yet, my photographs are not meant to offer a clearer understanding of reality; what they show is simply the state of the one who has looked.
I collaborate with La Repubblica and La Stampa. I teach photography in the Master’s Programme in Landscape Studies at the Department of Architecture, Roma Tre University, and have previously taught at the Department of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Cultural Industries, University of Parma.
